st. joseph, keeper of safety

One of the greatest compliments, I've ever received from a girl is that she felt "safe" around me. I've wondered why that word made me feel so appreciated and whole, but I have never have really known why. Not until I met St. Joseph, the ultimate model for men.

Joseph is a carpenter by trade, a tekton, working with wood and stone. His main work is building and fixing. He and the Divine physician have began a great work of piecing together what is broken and jaded. He is the mender of broken hearts. It is this way because he too must have been pierced and purified with the love of Mary and Jesus. He was in a sense the first project of Mary.

God by a great design has created the popularized The Feminine Genius, receptivity, sensitivity, generosity and maternity. God likewise must have also created a "Masculine Genius", that is the specific, intentional, and essential call of men in the world. Protection and Provision, obedience, courage and love
